— Qualifications for the “My thesis in 180 seconds” Competition, Rennes-Brittany Doctoral School
The aim of this competition is to promote the popularization of science. Dorothée Kapsambelis presented her thesis “Modelling extreme drought and excess water risks related to climate change on crop production in France up to 2050. Impact on the evolution of the insurance model” and received the 3rd Jury Prize.

At this international conference, which brings together academic and corporate researchers working in the field of rare event simulation, CCR presented “Modelling flood and drought insured losses in current and future climate conditions in France” and participated in the “Climate Risks” round table.

This conference organised by the European Commission aims to present adaptation measures to increase the resilience of territories in Europe in the context of increasing climate risks. CCR presented “Climate knowledge and information as enablers of climate action”.

During this conference, CCR presented its work on “MonteCarlo Kriging: An application to insurance data”.

— CCR CAT Day “the NAT CAT scheme: Challenges and Adaptations”, CCR
This event is considered as one of the annual meetings of the French insurance market. The day was structured around round tables allowing for discussions on claims management, climate risks and prevention, and R&D workshops presenting the various work carried out by CCR with its partners.

During this webinar on feedback after the occurrence of natural disasters on French territories, CCR presented “What is the impact of feedback for the prospective estimation of damage from natural catastrophes?”.

— Conference “Convergences towards climate risks by 2050” organised at the Cercle Lebrun, IXI-Groupe
This event brings together speakers from different professional backgrounds to address the issue of the frequency of climate risks in the future, the role of insurers for prevention and claims management. CCR spoke at a roundtable discussion on “Structural issues related to climate risks”.

— Webinar “Climate change and flooding in the Mediterranean arc: what levels of knowledge and forecasting of impacts?”, AFPCN
During this webinar, CCR made a presentation entitled “Consequences of climate change on the cost of natural catastrophes by 2050 in the ArcMed and public investment for prevention”.

— Hydrology and Flooding Commission, International River Commission for the Protection of the Moselle and Saar Rivers
CCR was asked to present “The French Nat Cat scheme and the flood prevention policy in France” to contribute to the ongoing considerations on the compensation of floods in the countries affected by the July 2021 flood.

— Scientific Day “What transitions for water in the face of climate change?”, Météo & Climat Toulouse-Occitanie
This one-day event was dedicated to deciphering the last three IPCC reports with a focus on water resources. CCR participated in a round table discussion entitled “Climate change: what threats to water? ”.

For the 2021 conference, CCR was a speaker twice on the following themes: “How is climate change altering the analysis and management of risk to property and people?» and «The synthesis layer of the impact of floods in Metropolitan France”.

At the day-long event on the new challenges that insurers are facing, CCR gave a presentation on “How is the insurance industry preparing for the integration of climate risks into Solvency 2 and ORSA scenarios? ”.
